Carolina Espinel

2016 Online MS in Nutrition Education Grad

Being online, it allowed me to pursue the MS all the way from Ecuador! Additionally, I have been able to work while studying. Of course it has been a challenging task, but the structure of the courses and the guidance of the instructors have ensured a rewarding academic experience. I realize work and study complement each other, and it has been wonderful to count on the instructor and other classmates’ expertise.

James Anderson

2017 Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) Grad

The program found a way to distinguish itself from traditional online courses that depend largely on discussion boards and self-study. Instead the program allowed for students to develop relationships with professors through the online platform, in addition to collaborative assignments, which encouraged relationship-building within my cohort. Make no mistake, it is a challenging program—but that is what I expected from the AU School of International Service brand.

I was looking for a program that gave me the ability to better understand businesses and business issues combined with the skills required for data analysis. That combination is ultimately what helped me successfully land my current job.

The immersion practicum is a great opportunity to network with your fellow analytics students, the professors, and even the MBA students. There have been plenty of networking events that were made available to me by American University.
